BEFORE anyone flames MS Sony is worse (IMO)

• they PS2's have failed after a few months for many hardcore gamers only to have sony not repair...
  
• On Release they only sent 500,000 PS2's (promised number=1,000,000
  
• they mailed 500,000 bad PS2's to europe promised to repair all and did not

1. Xbox's online capabilities own Ps2's because Ps2 has too much lag because they allow dial-up users to participate.

2. Xbox has 4 controller ports, Ps2 has 2...Need I say more?

3. I think the games would be pretty even. Ps2 has tons of them, with some quality ones, Xbox has less games total but still as many quality games.

Winner: Xbox

There are a few points where Ps2 would be superior to Xbox, but I'll neglect to mention them Both great consoles, with their "strong points", but Xbox has more.

Ps2 had its era...SeXBOX era has arrived now though...XBOX is definately a beter console than ps2 now.

Gamecube is cool but nintendo is passed it's prime...the Nintendo and super nintendo YES...the n64 was also great but the GC is so...meh...i would hope nintendo just goes into developing because i cannot see a way they can compete with sony and M$ the next time around.

the fact that most my shot term arguements were said by either chris, jay, or night i will rebunatel jim's RPG statment.. Now i guess u could say ps2 has better rpgs considering they have a exclusive deal with Squareenix, but name 1 actually good RPG they made in the past 2 years? Good compared to FF7 and xenogears.. sure some u may say ff10 but i say unto u..It sucked and any true rpg fan will admit it. square's losing there own market. Xenosaga is the only good rpg i can think of off the top of my head..other then that id say star ocean in a few months. Besides xbox is getting some top PC RPGS(completly different from console rpgs despite whatever u think)

Graphics?! theres truely no compitetion here, but some ps2 fanboys will say "xbox had a year on sony" does that statment matter? u think in a year sony coulda pushed a 733 mhz proc with a custom nvidia GPU and a 10 gig hard drive for the same price as xbox? or even do u think xbox woulda gone with a slow proc like sony and put crap hardware in it? I say ney. Why? because bill owns the PC world so if bill wants bill puts quality hardware into his system for a cheap price. Bill will own the console market and give us the market back that we americans created. True, good games usualy come from japan, but thats really only true with consoles.

PS2 fanboys still think that sony online will get bigger and better? HA! thats funny. i pay 50 bucks a year for live and i get fast reliable servers for my games. plus i can talk with the people who are owning me or i am owning? u can only do that with socom i believe.

Game library? omfg yet again the year thing. but i don't take that into account when i look at all the trash ps2 games are on the shelf compared to the small yet great selection xbox offers. and the fact ps2 will never have half life 2 and doom3 and CS and many other EXTREMELY popular PS Titles, and not to mention have extremely large fanbases. The fact that some PC gamers will buy them on xbox due to the fact there PC just won't cut it is another good thing for xbox ;p.

nice job James, with backing your info up bro. I agree James, Square has lost their touch lost most of their skill in makin master peices with great storylines and they don't really care about Graphics. All the Final Fantasy's up to 7 where the best ever made without a shadow of a doubt if you dare to say they aren't i suggest you back your info up. After Final Fantasy 7 was produced and hit record charts for Square they started to lose their touch on games and started to become so blind to relise that real games care more about storyline then graphics, honestly I'm very disapointed with Square. But, I have high hopes for Final Fantasy 11 when its shiper to USA . Oh and somebody tell me what this FF x-2 crap is...another reason why I'm losing faith with square.
