Game Description: |
In the first title of the extremely popular Final Fantasy™ series made exclusively for Nintendo GameCube, a powerful crystal protects your village from a poisonous miasma that grips the land. The crystal's power must be maintained with annual doses of myrrh droplets. But each myrrh tree generates only a single droplet once every two years. Members of the village's Crystal Caravan strike out to collect these rare droplets in the magical Crystal Chalice, and must rely on one another to defeat the terrible monsters that guard the trees. Players collect "Magicite" orbs to earn their magical spells. Fusing these orbs together creates larger magical effects. Go solo with the single-player version or join with friends on Game Boy Advance systems to try the multiplayer option. |

Key Features: |
- Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles offers the first Final Fantasy multiplayer mode available on a home console.
- Beyond the engrossing single-player mode, players can use connectivity to enhance their game play. For instance, when players are in a dungeon, the Game Boy Advance screens might have a map on one screen and a radar showing monster locations on another. This requires players to cooperate and communicate the information to one another.
- While traveling through a perilous wilderness, players meet exciting people, fight exotic creatures, discover hidden treasure and unfold a dramatic storyline.
- The game includes a memorable cast of characters, including four clans of heroes, monsters and other mysterious characters.
