Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Cheat Codes for PlayStation 2 (PS2)

From the main menu choose "Edit Skills," and then choose "Skill List." Hold L2 and press TRIANGLE. This will give you a few random capsules. It may take some time but this cheat will get you all the capsules.
Gain 999,999 Zenny
Beat all the tournaments with every character and net your well deserved reward of 999,999 zenny.
Glitch: Mirror Custom In Duel/Training Modes
WARNING: Removing the memory card to perform the following glitch may damage it. If you've got only one memory card and both players want to use the custom costume, do the following:
Select the character you want in custom mode for player one, but don't select the second character. Instead, remove the memory card and insert it into memory card slot 2. The data should load the data on the card, and when the word custom appears for player 2, confirm the selection.
Unlock Characters
Complete the following episodes to unlock the corresponding characters:
Android #16: Aim For Perfect Form
Android #17: The Androids Saga
Cell: The Androids Saga
Freiza: The Namek Saga
Ginyu: The Namek Saga
Radditz: The Saiyen Saga
Nappa: The Saiyen Saga
Recoome: The Namek Saga
Super Vegeta: Vegeta's Confidence
Teen Gohan: The Androids Saga
Trunks: Perfect Form Cell Complete
Vegeta: The Saiyen Saga
Yamcha: Aim For Perfect Form
Zarbon: Vegeta's Attack
Super Saiyan 3: Beat the tournament on advanced with every character to unlock Super Saiyan 3 for Goku.
Unlock Saiyaman
To unlock Gt.Saiyaman, beat the World Tournament on Advance with Gohan.
Hint: Easy Tournament Win
When playing Novice, set the time limit to 30 seconds and use Frieza. Right before the match begins, try to get behind your opponent and use Death Beam. If you're having trouble, try using Killer Ball, or Death Ball. Never use Goku. He sucks unless he's Com.
Hint: Small Ki Boost
When you power up, keep on holding AWAY when you reach MAX ki level. To charge, hold X and press TOWARDS, TOWARDS, holding on the second TOWARDS motion.
Alternate Colours
Press SQUARE when selecting your fighter.
Control Load Screen
To control the load screen, use the Left Analog to move the green radar. Press L3 to return it to the default.
Unlock Harder Modes in World Tournament
After competing Story mode a second time and having take first place in the current level of difficulty in World Tournament mode, you can go to Mr. Popo's Skill Shop and unlock the next difficulty level in World Tournament mode. Beat Adept mode to unlock Hercule, Legend of Hercule mode, and Advanced level in World Tournament mode. Beat World Tournament mode to unlock Great Saiyaman.
