Strategy First Ships "War Times" To Retailers Nationwide

Posted on Thursday, April 01, 2004 @ 12:18:20 pm E.S.T

Publisher Strategy First and developer Legend Studios announced today that War Times has shipped to retail stores nationwide. War Times is a World War II real-time strategy game that gives players the opportunity to fight some of history’s most prolific battles as the country of their choice: the USA, England, the Soviet Union or Germany. War Times has a SRP of $39.99 and has been rated T for Teen.

“War Times is an action packed RTS set in World War II. War enthusiasts will be thrilled to find each army uses historically accurate units and strategies and that each mission is inspired by real World War II events,” said Alex Parlour, Producer at Strategy First. “Strategy gamers will love the different strengths and weaknesses of the four armies representing the world’s most powerful nations, and the challenge of leading them to victory against other players in multiplayer.”

War Times lets players follow the tumultuous era of the Second World War as their choice of country, each with their own unique attack and defense strategies. The 3D campaigns are based on real historical events on land, sea and in the air and give the player full freedom of movement using several different camera angles and zoom features, bringing an unparalleled realism to the fight. Players can choose from 80 different units and can build 70 different structures in their battle; all while gathering resources such as ore and oil and recruiting an army to protect their country’s honor. Multiplayer mode supports up to 14 players and features three skirmish modes: melee, protect the general and total victory.
