Alias, a Silicon Graphics Inc. (NYSE: SGI) company, stated today its intention to join the Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. PSP™ Tools and Middleware Program when it is announced. Alias® will, upon joining, work with game developers creating launch titles for PSP™.

Maya is the development tool of choice for PlayStation®2 titles and as the accolades for these award-winning game titles continue to roll in, Alias will have the privilege of being there to support game title developers for PSP™. Award-winning titles for PlayStation®2 made with Maya include: Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus® (Sucker Punch Productions®), Jak and Daxter™ (Naughty Dog®), Ratchet & Clank® (Insomniac Games®) and Madden Football (Electronic Arts®).
