Posted on Monday, March 22, 2004 @ 09:35:20 pm E.S.T

Alias, a Silicon Graphics Inc. (NYSE: SGI) company, stated today its intention to join the Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. PSP™ Tools and Middleware Program when it is announced. Alias® will, upon joining, work with game developers creating launch titles for PSP™.

"We are very excited that Maya will be able to support our top customers for their game title development for PSP™," said Tom Harper, Maya® games technology strategist at Alias. "Maya has become the tool of choice for Triple A game title development. That's also made game developers the biggest single market for Maya. Alias is committed to maintaining this leadership position going forward."

Game Title Development for PlayStation®2 Relies on Maya
Maya is the development tool of choice for PlayStation®2 titles and as the accolades for these award-winning game titles continue to roll in, Alias will have the privilege of being there to support game title developers for PSP™. Award-winning titles for PlayStation®2 made with Maya include: Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus® (Sucker Punch Productions®), Jak and Daxter™ (Naughty Dog®), Ratchet & Clank® (Insomniac Games®) and Madden Football (Electronic Arts®).
