LucasArts has announced its new open-ended third person combat-action game Mercenaries for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Set for release this fall, Mercenaries puts you in the middle of the action in North Korea where you must take down 52 fugitive members before they launch a nuclear attack.
With interactive environments and non-linear gameplay, Mercenaries' "If you can see it -- you can steal it, use it or blow it up" gameplay style will allow players to live out their action move fantasies with 30 real-world military weapons, 20 authentic ground and air vehicles, and the opportunity to purchase more with the money earned capturing enemies.
Developed by Pandemic Studios, and published by LucasArts, Mercenaries will feature sound effects recorded and mastered at Skywalker Sound. Check out the official game site for more.
