Posted on Tuesday, February 03, 2004 @ 01:48:38 pm E.S.T

Mythic Entertainment, developer and publisher of the award-winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game "Dark Age of Camelot," today announced that a one-week trial copy of the complete "Dark Age of Camelot" online game is now available on GameSpy Industries’ FilePlanet.com. The first week of release will be available to Founders’ Club and FilePlanet subscribers. The 7-Day trial will then open up to the public on Tuesday, February 10th.

In tandem with the seven-day trial, GameSpy is hosting a one-of-a-kind contest. Download participants can submit their emails for a chance to win a variety of prizes sponsored by Mythic Entertainment, nVIDIA, and Prima Games. Prize packages include "Dark Age of Camelot" expansions "Shrouded Isles" and "Trials of Atlantis," Prima’s Official Strategy Guide to "Dark Age of Camelot" and expansions, cool "Dark Age of Camelot" merchandise, complimentary "Dark Age of Camelot" subscriptions, and even a GeForce FX 5950 video card.

More information about the download and contest is available at: http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/daoc .

About "Dark Age of Camelot"
"Dark Age of Camelot" is a next generation massively-multiplayer online role-playing game, and features state-of-the-art 3D-accelerated graphics with multiple class and race combinations, a robust trade skill system, and the most comprehensive player Guild system in any MMORPG. The world of "Dark Age of Camelot" features three Realms at war – Midgard, Hibernia and Albion. Based on the mythologies of Viking-era Scandinavia, ancient Ireland, and Arthurian Britain, respectively, the once-peaceful Realms began to battle after the death of King Arthur. Players quest, fight monsters, form guilds and eventually gain enough power to defend their Realm from enemies.

Since its release, "Dark Age of Camelot" has received critical acclaim, including Online Game of the Year by Computer Games Magazine and Computer Gaming World, and PC Game of the Year by USA Today and MSNBC. With an industry-leading customer support program, "Dark Age of Camelot" continues to grow and expand worldwide and has proven to be an enduring success.
