Konami Ships Bloody Roar 4 for PlayStation 2

Posted on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 @ 12:27:54 am E.S.T

Unleash the beast! Konami Digital Entertainment - America, a division of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced it has shipped Bloody RoarŽ 4 for the PlayStationŽ2 computer entertainment system. Published by Hudson Soft, Bloody Roar 4, the most ferocious title in the popular fighting game series, packs a powerful punch.

The rich 3D graphics, interactive environments and unique "hyper-beast" gameplay style of Bloody Roar 4 thrust players in to the heart of the action as they battle their way through nine distinct stages. As the intensity rises, players can transform into a fierce "hyper-beast" alter ego in an effort to knock-out their enemy. Choosing from more than 17 fighters with their own gut-wrenching signature moves, Bloody Roar 4 pumps more power, blood and gore into the 3D fighting series than ever before.

The game features eight gameplay modes that allow for button-mashing fun (Arcade Mode, Time Attack Mode, Sparring Mode, Versus Mode, etc.) as well as in-depth character development in the Career Mode. Bloody Roar 4 further advances the series with the introduction of a multitude of new features including three new characters and a "Zoanthropes Gauge" that allows players to manage power and health during matches. Additionally, players can modify their character's skill set by defeating enemies to acquire their opponents' moves after they have been defeated or to unlock special new abilities in the Career Mode. Bloody Roar 4 will bring out the true animal in gamers!

Bloody Roar 4 is rated M by the Entertainment Software Association and is available at retail outlets nationwide for an SRP of $39.99. To learn more about Bloody Roar 4, please visit http://www.konami.com/bloodyroar4.
