The Xbox Exclusive "Maximum Chase" Ships to Retail Outlets

Posted on Thursday, November 06, 2003 @ 02:26:05 pm E.S.T

Corner-crashing car chases invade the interactive streets of Los Angeles as Majesco, one of the fastest-growing publishers of interactive entertainment, today commenced shipment of Maximum Chase(tm), the company's exciting new driving game exclusively for the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft. Developed by Genki in conjuction with Microsoft, Maximum Chase puts players into a mission-based, driving/action game inspired by the great car chases of Hollywood.

"Successfully released in Japan, Maximum Chase has already generated a significant level of awareness and anticipation here in the U.S., and we are thrilled to add a game of this caliber to our holiday lineup," said Ken Gold, Vice President of Marketing. "Maximum Chase's blend of intense driving levels, coupled with its Hollywood-style action, should please even the most rabid of players."

In Maximum Chase, players assume the role of police investigator, Rick Summer. While helping a mysterious woman who is on the run from shadowy pursuers, Rick finds himself stuck in the middle of a plot to blow up the city. Rick realizes that he must save the city from a fiery end while lending a hand to this mystery girl. Set in the traffic-riddled streets of Los Angeles, in Maximum Chase, players outrun and outgun enemies, shoot out tires and take down rival helicopters. Two game play modes allow players to both drive and shoot their way through levels of wild car chase sequences.

Maximum Chase also features 20 officially licensed vehicles including the hot, new Nissan Z, Chevrolet's Corvette Z06 and 1970 Camaro, and the Lexus SC 340, all of which display realistic collision damage. Throughout the game, players can unlock additional hidden vehicles and weapons, and can replay the non-stop action of their car chase shootouts.

Maximum Chase is available at a suggested retail price of $49.99. For additional information on Maximum Chase players can visit the game's official website at www.maximum-chase.com.
