Bold Games Ships Wings Over VietnamPosted on Monday, November 08, 2004 @ 01:44:14 pm E.S.T
Destineer’s Bold Games unit today announces its fourth title for the PC, Wings Over Vietnam, is now available at most mass merchant and PC retailers nationwide.
In Wings Over Vietnam, players fly campaigns through some of the most highly defended areas of North Vietnam. With over twelve aircraft to choose from - such as the awesome F4 Phantom or the F-105D Thunderchief, players will launch day and night operations from Kitty Hawk or Essex Class aircraft carriers and attempt to slip through menacing MiG’s, SAM’s and Triple-A against overwhelming odds.
Wings Over Vietnam contains some of the most heart-pounding, authentic missions available in a flight simulator. Novice or experienced sim pilots can test their marksmanship on historical power plants, bridges, airbases and naval facilities of the Viet Cong. Those who live long enough will win decorations, awards and promotions with each successful mission. These are just a few of the thrills you’ll experience as a U.S. Air Force, Marine or Navy pilot.
“”Wings Over Vietnam lets players take part in a struggle that helped define modern aerial combat” said Paul Rinde, Chief Executive Officer of Bold Games. “History buffs will especially appreciate the Rolling Thunder and Linebacker II campaigns and the inclusion of the carriers operations in the game.”
Several modes of play include head-to-head multiplayer as well as a fully scalable day and night single player campaign that takes you from Yankee Station into the heart of the North Vietnamese capital.
Wings Over Vietnam was developed by Austin based Third Wire, who bring authentic aircraft and weapons to a superior engine based on the highly successful Strike Fighters: Project 1. For more information about Wings Over Vietnam, please visit the game’s official Web site at http://www.wovgame.com .
Wings Over Vietnam is rated “T” for Teen and is available at mass merchant and PC retailers nationwide at a suggested retail price of $29.99.
