GameCube Bundled With Mario Kart: Double Dash for Holidays

Posted on Monday, October 25, 2004 @ 12:58:15 pm E.S.T

Filling out your gift list just became a whole lot easier. Starting Nov. 14, Nintendo will give holiday shoppers nationwide a great bundle offer featuring Nintendo GameCube(TM)and the fan-favorite game Mario Kart(R): Double Dash!!(TM). The bundle gives shoppers an amazing value for the standard low Nintendo GameCube MSRP of just $99.99.

Released in November 2003, Mario Kart: Double Dash!! remains one of the hottest racing titles of all time, having sold more than 1.6 million copies. GMR magazine gave it a top rating of 10 out of 10 and TechTV.com rated it a perfect 100 out of 100. The frenzied multiplayer action appeals to all kinds of players, from competitive family members to college students who love party games. Players can choose their karts, their drivers and even a back-seat driver to help hurl weapons or steal them from other karts while zooming around multiple racetracks at high speeds.

This bundle comes at a particularly important time for shoppers and retailers alike. As toy manufacturers report slow sales, major retailers again look to the video game industry to save the holiday season.
