Bandai is proud to present a new trailer from its upcoming action game for the PlayStation 2, "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex." Based on the groundbreaking anime series by Masamune Shirow, the title features adrenaline drenched action gameplay, more than 20 minutes of meticulously crafted CGI cut-scenes and three different playable characters. Slated for release on November 8, 2004, "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex" is rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB, with a suggested retail price of $49.99.
"Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex" immerses players in the Tohoku Autonomous Region, a metropolis lost between technology and humanity that has succumbed to a recent wave of cyber-crime. As Major Motoko Kusanagi, Section 9 officer Batou or Think Tank Tachikoma, players fight through T.A.R's most crime infested areas, delivering their own brand of justice through gravity defying martial arts and a devastating arsenal of firearms and explosives. As they progress through the game, players can hack into cybernetic enemies and nearby machinery to solve puzzles, while gaining insight into the game's detailed storyline. "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex" also features rousing multiplayer gameplay that allows up to four gamers to engage in cyber-combat across a number of play modes and arenas.
