Vietcong: Purple Haze Now Available for Xbox - HOT!

Posted on Thursday, September 16, 2004 @ 01:11:00 pm E.S.T

Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO) announced today that Vietcong: Purple Haze for the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft is available now at retail outlets across North America. The PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system versions will be available next week.

An award winning, cornerstone title of the PC gaming community, Vietcong: Purple Haze is a unique Tactical First Person Shooter that offers an authentic, cinematic game play experience set during the Vietnam conflict. Players of Vietcong: Purple Haze experience the war from the perspective of a soldier assigned to join a squad of U.S. Special Forces running reconnaissance missions deep into the jungles of Northern Vietnam. Xbox owners will also be able to compete against their friends on 9 multiplayer levels via Xbox Live.

Gamers lead four expertly trained soldiers through a single player campaign, utilizing each member's distinct personality to achieve mission objectives and survive through extreme, realistic jungle combat. In addition to the best missions from the series, the console versions include two brand new missions and the soldier's experiences are told from a totally new perspective, providing a fresh and unique gaming experience.

Vietcong: Purple Haze is rated M for mature and is available at a suggested retail price of $39.99. For more information about Vietcong, visit its official website at http://www.vietcong-game.com/ .
