ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX: ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT) today announced that Disney has selected the RADEON® 9100 PRO IGP as the platform technology for its new Disney Dream Desk PC™. Designed for the youth market, the Dream Desk PC provides users with a comprehensive package of high performance hardware and software capabilities in a custom Disney form factor. By selecting the RADEON 9100 PRO IGP, the Dream Desk PC delivers cinematic graphics quality combined with rock solid system stability. The Disney Dream Desk PC was officially unveiled at a gala launch event at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on August 5th.

“Disney has a long tradition of delivering solutions that foster the growth and imagination of young people,” said Chris Heatherly, General Manager, Global Disney Electronics. “Through working with an industry leader in 3D graphics technology like ATI, we can ensure that Dream Desk PC users have an exceptional visual experience while enjoying today’s most popular games and applications.”

The Dream Desk PC comes equipped with a range of high quality components including a 2.66Ghz Intel® Celeron® Processor, Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition, 40 GB hard drive and 256MB DDR RAM. The Dream Desk experience is further enhanced with a range of Disney 3D games and proprietary software applications for creating movies, pictures and music. Parents enjoy the safety and security of knowing their children are protected while online with an extensive bundle of Internet filtering, e-mail filtering, and spam blocking software included.

“In designing the Dream Desk PC, Disney needed an industry-proven platform technology that offered an optimal mix of features, compatibility and graphics performance,” said Reuven Soraya, Director of Marketing, Integrated Business Unit, ATI Technologies. “By selecting ATI’s RADEON 9100 PRO IGP, Dream Desk users can bring their favourite Disney characters to life in cinematic 3D quality while enjoying access to a broad range of today’s most popular applications and games.”

The Dream Desk PC will have an MSRP of $599 US and will be available through the Disney Catalog and DisneyStore.com beginning August 12, and at CompUSA stores beginning September 12th.
