LOS ANGELES - Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) Booth #800 - May 12, 2004 - Konami Digital Entertainment - America, a division of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced Yu-Gi-Oh!™ Capsule Monster Coliseum™ for PlayStation® 2 computer entertainment system, Yu-Gi-Oh!™ Destiny Board Traveler™ for Game Boy® Advance and Yu-Gi-Oh!™ Power of Chaos: Joey the Passion™ for PC CD-ROM. Having sold more than 6.5 million units in North America, the Yu-Gi-Oh! video game phenomenon continues to provide players and fans of the series with new and exciting content based on the top-rated animated TV show and popular trading card game.
Launching on PlayStation 2 in October 2004, Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monster Coliseum delivers the most strategic board dueling game to date. Players put their skills to the test in this turn-based chess-type board game where in-depth strategies are keys to success in becoming the Capsule Monster King! Defeat your foes using a variety of monsters and techniques incorporated into the multiple modes of the game. In Versus Mode, players battle against their friends while Free Battle Mode lets players test their dueling skills. In Campaign Mode players face multiple characters and rivals from the Yu-Gi-Oh! comic book and TV series for the ultimate challenge. Players will improve their strength and earn points to acquire new monsters or upgrade their current roster to complete the ultimate collection of capsule monsters.
For gamers on the go, Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler is a great addition for any Game Boy Advance library and is a brand new dueling game in the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe. A fusion of the highly-popular Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game and a fun board game, Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler challenges gamers to be the first player to summon enough powerful monsters to achieve victory. For each match, players will be able to set their own conditions to win. With more than eight characters to choose from, each with their own special ability, as well as numerous maps to compete in and plenty of special roll attacks, Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler delivers an all new type of gameplay for fans to enjoy. Yu-Gi-Oh! fans will also be able link up with friends using the Game Boy® Advance Game Link® cable for four-player simultaneously play for the first time ever. Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler is scheduled to release in October 2004.
For the ultimate PC trading card game battle, players will face Yugi's best friend, Joey, in Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos: Joey the Passion for PC CD-ROM. Implementing the exciting gameplay and rules of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME, Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos: Joey the Passion will redefine PC dueling with an all-new interface, enhanced strategies and 2-player LAN play. Featuring hundreds of new cards that were previously unavailable as well as the option of importing acquired cards from Yu-Gi-Oh!™ Power Chaos: Yugi the Destiny™ and Yu-Gi-Oh!™ Power of Chaos: Kaiba the Revenge™, players can create the ultimate deck to duel against friends. Yu-Gi-Oh! Power of Chaos: Joey the Passion will ship in June 2004.
Also on display at Konami's E3 booth is Yu-Gi-Oh!™ Reshef of Destruction™, the sequel to the overwhelming hit Yu-Gi-Oh!™ The Sacred Cards™. Players will battle with more than 100 duelists to create an unbeatable deck to fight Reshef, "The Dark Being," who is out to destroy the world. Launching in June 2004, Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction will come packed with three exclusive limited edition Yu-Gi-Oh! cards: Dark Magician Knight, Knight's Title and Sage's Stone.
