Enter the Original RPG As "Xanadu Next" Comes to N-Gage

Posted on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 @ 11:57:46 pm E.S.T

Today, Nokia announced an agreement with industry veterans Nihon Falcom to develop selected titles for the N-Gage platform. The legendary Xanadu series will be the first Falcom title to grace the N-Gage platform in the form of Xanadu Next. The title's expected release in the fourth quarter of 2004 will signal the first opportunity for game fans to experience this well-known series while on the move.

"The appearance of Nihon Falcom titles on the N-Gage game decks is a fantastic opportunity for game fans to experience their favorite software in a whole new way. Xanadu Next will allow RPG fans to immerse themselves wherever they are," said Shinji Yamazaki, President, Nihon Falcom.

"Our agreement with Nihon Falcom sees a vintage series meet a new revolution in mobile gaming as Xanadu Next comes to the N-Gage platform. Its 3D graphics, real time combat and seamless game play signal a fruitful relationship with the originators of one of the most renowned RPG titles on the planet," said Pasi Pölönen, Director of Game Publishing, Games Business Unit, Nokia.

In Xanadu Next on the N-Gage platform, a dark shade moves over Xanadu as The King Dragon, Galsis resurges from the abyss. The lush vegetation of this once beautiful land dies out as horrifying monsters cover the earth. To make matters worse MOMO the daughter of the village mayor has been abducted and it is your mission as a young but handsome mercenary to solve the Xanadu's puzzles and rescue MOMO.
